THE BHS COMPETITION FINALS CONCERT & RECEPTION
The grand finale took place in the Painting Gallery of the Foundling Museum in London where eight internationally renowned harpsichordists played the prize winning and the highly commended compositions. Also included were harpsichord pieces written by the late Stephen Dodgson, a friend of the Society and to whom the concert was dedicated.
Performers were; Elaine Funaro, Gośka Isphording, Maggie Cole, Pamela Nash. Mahan Esfahani, Penelope Cave, Christoph Kaufmann and Jane Chapman
Composers present were; Ivan Božičević, Thomas Donahue, Satoru Ikeda, Patrick John Jones, Jung Sun Kang, Enno Kastens, Jürgen Kraus, Junghae Lee, Aled Smith, and Gavin Wayte, Unfortunately the Alessandro Ponti, the First Prize Winner was not able to be present.
The concert was followed by an informal Reception where the celebrations continued with wine and nibbles and a chance for the audience to meet the composers and performers.
