‘A Journey through Baroque Europe’
An invitation to discover harpsichord music during the 17th and 18th centuries, its evolution and its specificities across Europe, through pieces from the work of Froberger, Couperin, Scarlatti, JS Bach and CPE Bach.
Julie PUMIR began her musical journey in Olivier Schneebeli’s children’s choir, at the baroque music school in Versailles. Since 2013, she has been studying at the Conservatoire of Paris with Olivier Beaumont, harpsichord and in Blandine Rannou’s continuo class. She completed her Bachelor degree with high honors in 2016. The following year she took part in an Erasmus program, studying at London’s Royal Academy of Arts with Carole Cerasi’s class. She is now completing her Master’s Degree in harpsichord and basso continuo at the Conservatoire of Paris. She has taken part in master classes with Pierre Hantai, Ton Koopman, Jean-Marc Aymes, Bertrand Cuiller or Laurent Stewart. While pursuing her studies, she founded the musical ensemble “Artificiosa” along with violinist Paul Monteiro. She receives financial support from Tokyo Fondation, Fondation Royaumont and Fondation Meyer.
