| FOR SALE John Morley Spinet Instrument number 419, with wooden jacks and leather plectra. In reasonable to good playable condition. Needs minor mechanical attention (one missing string and some of the plectra need adjustment or replacement). Cosmetically the lid of the instrument has damage to one corner and water/heat marks to the upper surface (see photo). Apart from this it is fine, complete with music stand, the rod to support the lid, and a tuning key. More photos/viewing available on request. | FOR SALE- Part completed Harpsichord after Jacob Kirckman Double manual. All measurements and construction details were taken from an original. Except for the strings and hinges almost everthing has been made. Final fitting and adjustments will be required as will the polishing of the casework. The case is oak with mahogany curl veneers and harewood crossbanding, the lid mahogany with harewood crossbanding. A trestle stand is included as are wooden patterns for the hinges. I'm wondering if anyone has any old small harpsichords, clavichords etc. in need of repair. I am a 12 year old girl from west Berkshire who has recently become interested in fixing old instruments.
