Handel Recorder Sonatas
Continuum: Elizabeth Walker (recorder), Michael Overbury (harpsichord) and Christopher Poffley (cello).
Handel’s intimate sonatas represent some of the most expressive and creative music written for the recorder. Vocal in their quality, much of the material is reminiscent of the operas he was writing at the time.
